Currently Im playing a Sunlite acoustic and I love it, but I want to make the switch to electric. Dont wanna spend alot of money at all, but dont want a piece of crap either. Anyone got suggestions?

If you want something that holds together and is fairly cheap, Fender's Squire range is usually OK ^^ It's very cheap and, whilst it's not the best guitar in history, it does the job Wink

you could put a pickup above the sound hole (cheapest: $9.99) and set your amp up to overdrive

well as far as sound goes Im into just normal sound, but with the ability to get that metal sound if needed

Well either a Low-end Fender or a High-end Squire would probably fit in that range, depending on where you buy.

my starcaster is pretty nice. it was only like 200? and has a decent black/fade paint job. i can give pics if u want. better yet, i got it at sams for 175$ lol

Yeah - I got my Strat and an amp for £120, but I imagine that wouldn't be too much in dollars considering most things are cheaper in the US than they are here...
